Green apple sauerkraut is not sweet like an apple. The sugars of the apple are consumed in the fermentation process. The result is an extra sour sauerkraut with faint apple flavors. It’s great with meats and holds up the best when cooked.
All of our sauerkrauts are unpasteurized living ferments. This results in a remarkably crisp texture and a sour flavor that ‘wakes’ as you chew.
